The safety, health and well-being of our employees, customers, business partners and the communities where we do business is of the utmost importance during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.  Genesis has established a COVID-19 response team at all affiliated companies to monitor the situation, minimize the risks and prepare for all potential scenarios.

We want to ensure Genesis customers have the best experience possible. Below are some key updates for our customers regarding the impact of COVID-19.                                                                            

 

Genesis Cares

Genesis Cares Job Loss Protection is providing well-qualified buyers who purchase a new 2019 Genesis G70 and finance it at 0% Annual Percentage Rate through Genesis Finance by April 30, 2020 with payment deferral for 120 days1.

Also for new customers, Genesis Cares Job Loss Protection provides up to six months of payment relief for customers who lose their job this year due to COVID-19 after purchasing or leasing a new Genesis vehicle through Genesis Finance between March 14 and April 30, 2020.2

Genesis Finance customers who are caring for themselves or a member of their household and are temporarily unable to work or suffer a job loss through April 30, 2020 as a result of the current global health crisis may be eligible for up to 3 months deferred payments (in 1 month increments)*for loss of job or medically-related hardships caused by COVID-19 between March 14 and April 30, 2020.  Learn more at https://www.genesisfinanceusa.com/ for assistance and eligibility.  Please note that due to the current situation, Genesis Finance is experiencing unusually high call volume and longer than normal wait times.  We appreciate your patience as Genesis Finance works to quickly address customer concerns.3

Additionally, to give current Genesis lessees options during these uncertain times, Genesis Finance has existing policies that allow customers to extend their lease.  For example, if their lease term is coming to an end, and they are unable to acquire a new vehicle at this time, these options are available to all Genesis Finance customers, especially those impacted by COVID-19.  We encourage Genesis Finance customers with lease maturities in the next 60-days to work with their retailer through email and/or phone to discuss their options.

Genesis Retailer Hours and Closures

Genesis retailers are working closely with local officials to stay open to service customer vehicles as long as it is safe to do so. Please contact your local Genesis retailer to inquire about the availability of service for your Genesis vehicle.

Also, an important reminder, Genesis retailers (located in states that allow retailers to remain open during the ongoing health crisis) offer complimentary Service Valet care for the first three years or 36 months of Genesis ownership. So, for those owners currently working from home, as many of us are, that are hesitant to venture outside of their home any more than absolutely necessary – they don’t have to. They can arrange, through their local Genesis retailer, the delivery of a Genesis loaner vehicle and the pick-up and return of their Genesis for servicing4.

 1. 120 day deferred first payment available only on new purchases of any 2019 G70 financed at 0% Annual Percentage Rate through Genesis Finance to well-qualified buyers.  Down payment may be required. Subject to Genesis Finance credit approval.  Not all customers will qualify.  See retailer for details.  Offer valid March 26 to April 30, 2020.

2. Up to 6 months of payments available to the buyer of any new Genesis model financed or leased at participating retailers only through Genesis Finance between March 14 and April 30, 2020.  Payments up to $600 per month (and $3,600 per 6 month period) are available for loss of job caused by COVID-19 through December 31, 2020. Subject to Genesis Finance credit approval.  Not all customers will qualify.  Restrictions apply and proof of job loss required. See retailer for details.

3. Up to 3 months of deferred payments (in 1 month increments) are available to existing customers of Genesis Finance. Payments are available for loss of job or medically-related hardships caused by COVID-19 between March 14 and April 30, 2020. Interest accrues during deferral period and is payable over remaining term. Restrictions apply and proof of job loss may be required.
