Remote Location Access allows you to access location-based Remote features for your Genesis vehicle using the Genesis Intelligent Assistant app and website. When Remote Location Access is enabled, you can conveniently access features such as Find My Car, Final Destination Guidance, Surround View Monitor, Valet Mode, Safeguard Alerts, and more.
You can disable Remote Location Access in your vehicle settings*. Your vehicle will still work normally, but location-based remote features will be unavailable while this setting is disabled so no one other than Hyundai can access your vehicle's location via the mobile app or MyGenesis website.

Managing Remote Location Access:
Remote Location Access can only be enabled or disabled from inside the vehicle. There are multiple ways to access the Remote Location Access setting.
Option 1: Use your vehicle screen. Select Setup > Data/Network tile > Bluelink > Privacy Settings > then use the toggle to disable or enable Remote Location Access. This option is only available on select models and trims.
Option 2: Use the Genesis Connected Services button near your rearview mirror. Press the Genesis Connected Services button, then follow the voice prompts to disable or enable Remote Location Access.
Option 3: Submit an online request. If you are a resident of California, New York, or Louisiana, you can submit an online request through our website to disable Remote Location Access. Manage Remote Location Access
How do I activate or disable Remote Location Access in my vehicle's head unit?
In the head unit of your Genesis vehicle, you can find the Remote Location Access setting by going to Setup > Data/Network > Bluelink > Privacy Settings.
What happens if I remove the vehicle owner?
If you remove the vehicle owner, location-based features will be disabled, Valet Mode will no longer be available on the vehicle screen, and the removed owner will be notified that they no longer have access.

What happens if I suspend services or cancel a suspension?
If you suspend services, Remote Location Access features will not be available, and Valet Mode will be unavailable. If you cancel the subscription, these features will remain disabled until you deactivate Remote Location Access.
Privacy and Safety
After disable Remote Location Access, will someone else be able to see my vehicle's location?
No. Once Remote Location Access is disabled, users of the mobile app or MyGenesis website will no longer be able to see your vehicle’s location. However, Genesis may still access location information when needed for safety, security, legal, or analysis purposes. For rental or fleet vehicles, location information may also still be shared with the rental company or fleet owner, where applicable.
Can I still use my vehicle if I disable Remote Location Access?
Yes. Your vehicle will still work normally, but certain Remote Location Access features such as Find My Car, Final Destination Guidance, Surround View Monitor, Valet Mode, and Safeguard Alerts will no longer be available.
Can I reactive Remote Location Access later?
Yes. You can reactivate Remote Location Access at any time from within your vehicle.
Is a notification provided when Remote Location Access is disabled?
No notification is provided when Remote Location Access is disabled or enabled.
What if I don’t see the Vehicle Location Access toggle in my vehicle settings?
Not all Genesis vehicles include the Vehicle Location Access toggle in the head unit. Availability will vary by model, trim, and software configuration.
If you do not see the toggle under Setup > Data/Network > Genesis Connected Services > Privacy Settings, your vehicle may not support this setting through the head unit. You can still manage Remote Location Access using the Genesis Connected Services button near your rearview mirror. Press the Genesis Connected Services button and follow the voice prompts to disable or enable Remote Location Access. This option is available for all Genesis Connected Services-equipped vehicles.
Additional Questions
Will Remote Location Access be reacatived after a facatory reset?
Yes. If you perform a factory reset, Remote Location Access will reactivate automatically. If you do not want to share your vehicle’s location, you can disable Remote Location Access again in your vehicle settings.
