Set Up Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto in Genesis EVs

Genesis vehicles offer wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, making it easier to stay connected, entertained, and informed while on the road. Your Genesis offers simple wired or wireless setup of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Wired: Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ via USB cable

  1. Plug in your smartphone to the USB data port labeled “USB”. New Genesis vehicles use a USB-C port, while older Genesis vehicle may be equipped with a USB type-A port.
  2. If prompted, press “Yes” on the infotainment screen to allow wired Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ connectivity.
  3. Your smartphone may ask if you’d like to also enable wireless Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ connectivity. Enable to turn on a wireless connection. If enabling wireless, Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ will be connected automatically each time your vehicle is turned on.

*USB-C data port will typically be located in or near the front in-dash console. Check your vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific location. Data cable for iOS device is required for Apple CarPlay®.
