The Genesis Connected Services devices in the affected vehicles require 3G cellular network to access Genesis Connected Services services1,2,3. These cellular networks are maintained by wireless service providers outside the control of Genesis and Genesis Connected Services. Due to changes in telecommunications technology over time, the wireless service providers of the networks enabling the use of Genesis Connected Services devices in the affected vehicles has recently announced that it will discontinue 2G and 3G cellular network service by January 1, 20232.

As a consequence, after January 1, 2023, we regret Genesis Connected Services on certain 2017-2019 vehicles will become inactive as a result of the network discontinuations and access to Genesis Connected Services services will be unavailable2. We have adjusted our Service Plans to allow affected Genesis Connected Services customers to have the maximum duration of service until the network discontinuation.
