Certain 2017-2019 models can continue service after a software update. If your vehicle is eligible for a software upgrade, you will receive an email with instructions to update your vehicle software. You can visit update.genesis.com to get the latest software update for your vehicle.

The Genesis Connected Services devices in the affected vehicles require 3G cellular network to access Genesis Connected Services services1,2,3. These cellular networks are maintained by wireless service providers outside the control of Genesis and Genesis Connected Services. Due to changes in telecommunications technology over time, the wireless service providers of the networks enabling the use of Genesis Connected Services devices in the affected vehicles has recently announced that it will discontinue 2G and 3G cellular network service by January 1, 20232.

As a consequence, after January 1, 2023, we regret Genesis Connected Services on certain 2017-2019 vehicles will become inactive as a result of the network discontinuations and access to Genesis Connected Services services will be unavailable2. However, for some 2017-2019 vehicles, a software update is available that will need to be applied prior to January 1, 2023 in order to continue using Genesis Connected Services. We have adjusted our Service Plans to allow affected Genesis Connected Services customers to have the maximum duration of service until the network discontinuation for the models where no software update is available.
